Monmouth and Saratoga have exciting undercard races
This week on HorseCenter, Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman aim to determine the top 3-year-old in the U.S. by handicapping the Grade 1, $1 million Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park and the Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) at Saratoga.
The Haskell has a field of eight, including Dornoch and Mindframe, the top two finishers from the Belmont Stakes. Todd Pletcher has three entries, but it looks like Fierceness will run in the Jim Dandy (G2) at Saratoga on July 27.
In the CCA Oaks, Thorpedo Anna stands out as the frontrunner in the 3-year-old filly division with recent wins in the Grade 1 Acorn and Kentucky Oaks. The field of five also includes two other Grade 1 winners.
Both Monmouth and Saratoga have exciting undercard races, so get ready for a thrilling Saturday of racing.
