Muse La Rouge Wins First Race of Meadows Series

Starting from the gate as the overwhelming favourite, Muse La Rouge showcased her consistent speed, took control early on, and emerged victorious in Wednesday's $16,892 first race of the Ruby Cook Memorial Pace for three-year-old fillies at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

The series pays tribute to Ruby Cook, a beloved track switchboard operator whose warm and inviting voice was a cherished aspect of The Meadows' atmosphere.

Muse La Rouge sought to gain the advantage initially, only to be overtaken by the rapidly advancing Sonadora. Dave Palone skillfully guided Muse La Rouge to victory, maintaining her focus and determination as she surged to the front and fended off a strong challenge from Sonadora. Triumphing by a convincing 1 1/2 lengths in an impressive time of 1:54.3 on a rain-soaked track, Pit Boss Hanover utilized Lightning Lane to secure a respectable placement.

William Hartt has enlisted Michael Hitchcock to train Muse La Rouge, a talented filly sired by Captaintreacherous out of Modern Muse. The young horse secured her initial triumph of the season out of seven attempts and her second success overall.

Ronnie Wrenn Jr. achieved an impressive feat by securing four victories during the 12-race card.
