Playfly Sports was chosen for its expertise in media

Playfly Sports has been chosen by NYRA to handle ticket sales for the new Belmont Park, the Long Island home of the Belmont Stakes (G1) which is currently undergoing a $455 million redevelopment project. This three-year partnership will also see Playfly Sports managing sponsorship sales and premium hospitality at the venue.

The new Belmont Park, designed by global sports architecture firm Populous, will feature modern amenities and hospitality offerings, aiming to become a world-class sports and entertainment destination. With over 275,000 square feet of infrastructure, the venue will seat 7,500 guests and offer various clubs and dining spaces, private suites, and indoor/outdoor experiences.

NYRA President & CEO, David O'Rourke, expressed the organisation's commitment to creating a facility that will set the global standard for horse racing venues. By reducing the building's footprint and allowing access to the infield, the new Belmont Park will have the flexibility to accommodate over 50,000 fans on major event days.

The redevelopment project is expected to be completed in Q3 of 2026, consolidating all down state racing at Belmont Park. The Breeders' Cup has also committed to bringing the World Championships to New York once the project is finished.

Playfly Sports was chosen by NYRA for its expertise in media, sponsorships, and delivering unique fan experiences. The partnership aims to drive new revenue and increase brand recognition for NYRA, with Playfly's data-driven approach supporting fan engagement strategies.

This partnership builds on past collaborations between NYRA and Playfly, particularly at Saratoga Race Course. Playfly will work closely with NYRA's corporate partnership sales team on commercial strategy, asset sales representation, and hospitality sales at the new venue.

"We are proud to be NYRA's chosen partner and look forward to developing new and innovative activations as we look ahead to the future of horse racing," said Craig Sloan, President of Playfly Sports.
