Popular Ones to Sign Arcangelo Posters on Aug. 17
An event at Saratoga Race Course will see Hall of Fame jockey Javier Castellano and classic-winning trainer Jena Antonucci signing posters of 2023 Eclipse Award winner Arcangelo, with proceeds benefiting the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. The signing will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Museum's satellite location at the track, in the former Saratoga Walk of Fame space.
Renowned artist Greg Montgomery has created exclusive limited-edition poster prints featuring Arcangelo, Castellano, and Antonucci for the Museum. The trio achieved notable victories in 2023, including the Belmont Stakes and Travers Stakes, which helped Arcangelo secure champion 3-year-old honours. Arcangelo's Belmont victory was historic, marking Antonucci as the first woman to train a Triple Crown race winner. For Castellano, the win completed his career sweep of the classics, adding to his Hall of Fame credentials.
Arcangelo's success continued with a win in the 2023 Travers Stakes, earning Castellano his record-extending seventh victory in the Midsummer Derby. Antonucci also made history as the second woman to win the Travers, joining Mary Hirsch, who won in 1938 with Thanksgiving.
The autographed posters will be available for $20 each. Fans can also have additional items signed for $20 per autograph. The Museum's open-air satellite facility is located behind the grandstand, just across the pedestrian path from the Fourstardave Sports Bar.
