This Saturday, New Brunswick's Todd Trites is back in the saddle, competing in all five races, including the rising star, Press Time, in the top-class event. Owned by newcomer Zach Cougle, Press Time seeks to achieve his third consecutive victory, following impressive race finishes of 1:54.1 and 1:55.1 in his last two outings.
Race Secretary Brent Briggs has placed Press Time in the challenging outside post six, making him the 7/5 favourite on the morning line. Mantario, owned by Jennifer Ritchie from Kingston, New Brunswick, hopes to pull off a minor upset from post three after finishing as the runner-up to Press Time for the past two weeks.
Veteran pacer Watchmaker, driven by Mike Downey, departs from post two, having shown strong form with a last-race victory in 1:57 for Dr. Mitchell Mark Downey. Mitch will also pilot his other horse, One Eight Hundred, from post four.
Jeff Lewis plans to drive his veteran horse, Emperor, from post five, while P J Spudland, boasting five wins and two second-place finishes in his seven lifetime starts, teams up with Colin DeCourcey for Weldon Briggs.
Wagering is available through the HPI platform, and fans can catch the action on Universum Media's YouTube channel or at local tele-theatre locations. Additionally, live attendees will have access to food options on-site this Saturday.
