Fans can witness horses being prepared for the GI Kentucky Derby and GI Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs from 7 to 10 in the morning, starting on Thursday and running through May 1.
Every day from 5:15 to 10 am, horses train on Churchill Downs' main track. After the restoration break from 7 to 7:30 am, there will be a special training window for Derby and Oaks contestants only from 7:30 to 7:45 am. Saddle towels bearing their names will be used to identify the horses. Derby horses will have yellow saddle towels, while Oaks competitors will have pink saddle towels.
Visitors should utilise the Clubhouse Gate to access Churchill Downs, and they should park in the adjacent Yellow Lot for free to gain easy access. Visitors wishing to watch the morning workouts should proceed to Sections 115–117 accordingly.
