Rebuff 3, an outstanding trotting stallion and the swiftest progeny of Muscle Hill, has recently attracted new investors who have acquired a stake in this promising second-year stud.
Tim Schmucker, one of the esteemed owners of Pond-A-Acres, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the esteemed Rebuff ownership group. Recognizing Muscle Hill's remarkable influence as a broodmare sire and his successful sons such as Tactical Landing, Bar Hopping, Resolve, and Long Tom, Schmucker believes that Rebuff, with his exceptional track record and the distinction of being Muscle Hill's fastest son, possesses all the qualities to become an exceptional stallion in Indiana and beyond. The Pond-A-Acres team has already secured a significant number of mares to breed with Rebuff, showcasing their unwavering support for him.
Mitchel Skolnick, the Managing North America Partner for Rebuff and representative of Bluestone Farms, warmly welcomed Pond-A-Acres as a valued addition to the esteemed ownership group. Skolnick praised Pond-A-Acres for their prominent role in the Indiana stakes program and their impressive collection of broodmares, capable of producing colts and fillies with the potential to compete in major Grand Circuit stakes. Skolnick further emphasised Rebuff's exceptional lineage as the son of the illustrious Muscle Hill, highlighting the belief shared by the ownership group that Rebuff will continue to establish himself as a sire of sires. This development stands as a testament to the remarkable strength of Indiana's racing and breeding program.
The acquisition of the stake in Rebuff was skillfully orchestrated by Bob Boni and the Northwood Bloodstock Agency. Rebuff, a winner of multiple stakes races and a Breeders Crown champion, will commence his second season at stud in 2024 at Victory Hill Farm in Indiana.
