With a strategic move to the front in the second quarter, Royal Regatta surged ahead, maintaining a slight lead into the stretch. Despite pressure from Make It Come True, Royal Regatta displayed resilience, crossing the finish line with a comfortable two-and-a-quarter-length margin in a time of 1:53.3. Make It Come True settled for second, while Malvolio secured third.

This victory marked Royal Regatta's 40th lifetime win in an illustrious career spanning 203 starts, elevating his total earnings to $317,155. Trained by Richard Moreau and owned by Don Beanland, the nine-year-old gelding caught the attention of Hani Selbak of Burlington, who claimed him in the race, adding another chapter to Royal Regatta's remarkable journey on the harness racing circuit.
