RRP welcomed Patrick Cummings

The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) recently welcomed two new members to its board of directors on July 15.

Patrick Cummings, the executive director of the National Thoroughbred Alliance (NTA), has a wealth of experience in the racing industry. Prior to his current role, Cummings led the Thoroughbred Idea Foundation and has worked in various capacities in the racing world, including managing the Hong Kong Jockey Club's racing public affairs team and operating his own consulting practice. He is passionate about promoting the versatility of Thoroughbreds beyond the racetrack and is excited to contribute to the RRP's mission.

Sarah Williams, with over fifteen years of regulatory experience in the financial services industry, is also a dedicated rider and owner of Thoroughbreds. She is a multi-discipline rider who values the versatility of Thoroughbreds and has volunteered extensively for the RRP. Williams is eager to work with her colleagues on the board to support the organisation's mission to find meaningful second careers for retired racehorses.

Board chair Neil Agate expressed his excitement about the new additions to the board, emphasising the importance of recruiting qualified and motivated members to further the RRP's mission. Board members can serve up to two consecutive three-year terms, and more information about the RRP's board of directors can be found on their website.
