Running Aces featured several races on Sunday

The Sunday night program at Running Aces featured the $69,444 Dan Patch FFA pace final, Minnesota-sired sophomore trotters, and the weekly Open Handicap trot.

Muskateer Hanover, the 1-10 favourite, dominated the Dan Patch final, winning in 1:49.2 with a five-length lead. He was driven by trainer Brady Jenson and led from the start, setting a fast pace and finishing ahead of Hezzz A Wise Sky and Tuggin On My Heart. No Lou Zing, initially third, was disqualified to sixth for interference.

In the $23,611 Minnesota-sired sophomore male ‘A’ trot, DP Freedoms Chrome ($2.10) extended his winning streak to seven, clocking 1:58. Finale Jetta and Wherever Rio Goes followed. 

Al-Mar Puredelight ($27.00) won the sophomore filly ‘A’ trot in a career-best 1:58.4, finishing ahead of Spicymoneymaker and Banker’s Grace. 

Piggly Wiggly ($4.20) won the $11,806 sophomore ‘B’ trot in a career-best 1:59.4, with SB Eye Candy and Chicora next. 

Majestic J ($10.00) took the $21,528 Open Handicap trot in a lifetime-best 1:54.2, holding off Bringoverthemoney and Domovoy.

James Kennedy scored a driving double, while Elson Miller and Nick Roland achieved both driving and training doubles. 

Live racing resumes on Tuesday (August 6) with a nine-race card and a $19,579.11 carryover in the 20-cent Pick-5 Jackpot wager, starting in race five.
