Saturday is an exciting day for Gulfstream Park

Gulfstream Park is gearing up for an exciting weekend of racing with a mandatory payout for the 20-cent Rainbow 6 on Saturday, which could see an estimated pool of up to $2 million. The weekend kicks off on Friday, featuring an estimated jackpot pool of $250,000 for the Rainbow 6.

Saturday's 11-race card includes the $100,000 Sheer Drama Stakes, showcasing fillies and mares racing at seven furlongs. Notable competitors in this event include graded stakes winner Maryquitecontrary, along with stakes winners Charlie’s Wish, Beth’s Dream, Infinite Diamond, and Bluefield.

The Rainbow 6 sequence on Friday starts with Race 4, a maiden special weight race for Florida-bred 2-year-old fillies running at 5 1/2 furlongs on the Tapeta surface. The race has a field of eight, including Balala, who had a third-place finish in her debut in July. Trainer Rohan Crichton will field two contenders from his stable—Bad Gal Party, a daughter of World of Trouble, and Sweet Sash, a daughter of Tapiture—both looking to make their mark in the race.
