Amidst the grandeur of the 2023 O'Brien Awards held in Charlottetown, P.E.I., on Saturday, Feb. 3, Cassidy Schneider emerged triumphant, securing the prestigious accolade after having been a runner-up in the Future Star category the previous year.

The event proved to be a momentous occasion for Schneider, who expressed her appreciation for the privilege of being nominated for such an outstanding award, relishing the opportunity to share the stage with her father.

Building upon her successes from 2022, Schneider's 2023 season proved to be a resounding triumph. Hailing from Arthur, Ont., the talented trainer amassed an impressive record of 83 wins and earnings totalling $521,886 across 611 starts. Her racing endeavours predominantly took place across Ontario's esteemed B tracks, where Schneider claimed the pinnacle of success by topping the 2023 trainer standings at both Hanover Raceway and The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
