She Feels Pretty is set to compete in the $200,000 Lake Placid Stakes

She Feels Pretty, a Grade 1-winning filly, aims to return to the winner's circle on August 17 in the $200,000 Lake Placid Stakes (G2T) at Saratoga Race Course. Trained by Cherie DeVaux and owned by Lael Stables, the 3-year-old daughter of Karakontie has shown her potential in past performances, including a victory in last year's Natalma Stakes (G1T) and a third-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T).

After a six-month break, She Feels Pretty made a strong comeback, winning the Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico Race Course by 5 3/4 lengths on May 18. However, she could not maintain her momentum in the Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes (G1T) at Aqueduct Racetrack on July 6, finishing third in a close race. Now, DeVaux is cutting her back a furlong, hoping to capitalise on her strengths and add to her earnings.

The Lake Placid Stakes will also feature two more fillies from Chad Brown's stable, as he seeks his fourth consecutive victory in this race. Dynamic Pricing, who finished seventh in the Belmont Oaks, returns to a shorter distance where she has previously found success, notably winning the Edgewood Stakes (G2T) at Churchill Downs in May. Brown also enters Spaliday, who recently achieved a "breakthrough" win in the Boiling Springs Stakes at Monmouth Park, and Grayosh, who narrowly missed victory in an allowance race at Saratoga in July.

Other notable entries include Beautiful Love from trainer Charlie Appleby, who has already secured three stakes wins at Saratoga this year. Beautiful Love, a Godolphin homebred, has been training alongside accomplished stablemates and will be making her U.S. debut. Additionally, Christophe Clement's Les Reys, who joins the race after consecutive wins in France, will represent West Point Thoroughbreds, Peter Leidel, and Winters Equine.

The Lake Placid Stakes promises to be a competitive race, with She Feels Pretty leading a strong field of 11 talented 3-year-old fillies.
