T.I.P. Championships at Stable View Moved to October 24

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) Championships are set to take place at Stable View in Aiken, S.C., from October 24 to October 27, after earlier postponements due to Hurricane Helene. The event kicks off on Thursday with various activities including schooling sessions, dressage competitions, a mounted and in-hand obstacle trail course, and engaging fun classes.

This year, over 200 Thoroughbreds will compete across nine riding disciplines, featuring 42 divisions in categories like hunters, jumpers, English pleasure, dressage, combined tests, Western pleasure, ranch riding, trail events, and in-hand competitions. Each division will award $2,000 in prize money, with ribbons available up to 10th place.

Kristin Werner, T.I.P. administrator, expressed gratitude towards the Stable View team for their unwavering support and emphasised the importance of hosting this championship following the impact of Hurricane Helene. Enthusiasts and bidders from both the U.S. and Canada come together to celebrate the remarkable adaptability of Thoroughbreds, showcasing their talents on and off the racetrack.

On Friday, special awards will follow the in-hand championship classes. Unique coverage of the T.I.P. Championships will be available via livestream from Horse & Country TV on October 25 and 26, specifically featuring the Mark Phillips Jumper Ring. To view the livestream, individuals must sign up for an H&C+ membership or purchase an event pass through the Stable View platform.

Established in 2011, T.I.P. promotes Thoroughbred versatility through competitions, awards, and recreational programs.
