The 79th edition of Little Brown Jug

The 79th edition of the $844,595 Little Brown Jug for three-year-old pacers takes centre stage on Thursday's 21-race card at the Delaware County Fair. Fans can catch all the live action via streaming.

The $709,460 Jug final, Race 21, will conclude an exciting afternoon, featuring the top four finishers from two $67,568 elimination heats held earlier in the day (Races 17 and 18).

Anthony Beaton's stable stars Nijinsky (Louis-Philippe Roy, starting from Post 3) and Legendary Hanover (James MacDonald, Post 3) are favourites in their respective elimination races. The second elimination also features Canadian-trained Captain Quarters (Jody Jamieson, Post 1) from the Herbert Holland stable.

David Miller, fresh off his third Jugette victory, is aiming to sweep the Delaware Fair’s main events. He will drive Ron Burke's Solid Character (Post 5) in the second elimination, seeking a record-breaking sixth Little Brown Jug title.

Messenger Stakes winner Sweet Beach Life (Matt Kakaley, Post 7), trained by Travis Alexander, also races in the second elimination, alongside Cane Pace champion Legendary Hanover, both vying for the Pacing Triple Crown.
