Charlottetown, PE – Pasta Momma (Huntsville) is poised to defend her undefeated streak on Prince Edward Island in the featured harness racing event at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. The originally scheduled Thursday program has been moved to Friday, June 21, due to a heat wave, with races commencing at 6 P.M.

The 11-dash Friday program features the $3,700 Fillies and Mares Preferred in race 10, with Pasta Momma being the morning line favourite. Driven by Marc Campbell and trained by Landon Campbell, Pasta Momma is owned by Brady Doyle of Stratford and Ryan and Everett MacLeod of Souris. The four-year-old mare made a strong debut on the Island, winning her class in 1:56 last week, and will start from post 3.

Acefortyfour Dome, with rail control and Mark Bradley driving for trainer Ashley Gamester, is a strong contender, aiming for her 35th career win from post 1. Other competitors include Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) from post 2, Rosetown Mary (Corey MacPherson) from post 4, and Tobins Brownie (David Dowling) from post 5.

The Post Time Picks favor Acefortyfour Dome, stating: "Acefortyfour Dome never really got into the race last week but remember that was from post six. Much better starting point and it looks like she could draft for a long way and may even reach up and win."

Race 5 features the Workers Compensation Board Of PEI 75th Anniversary Pace with Saulsbrook Pika (Brodie MacPhee) favoured from post 4, trained by Tom Weatherbie and owned by Ian Smith and David Kennedy.

Race 6 highlights the top trot class with a $3,100 purse, featuring Jessiejesorjessica (David Dowling) as the favorite, over fellow Jennifer Doyle trainee New Legacy (Ken Murphy) and the Landon Campbell stable entry Irish Ray (Marc Campbell).

Due to extreme heat, the Future Stars of Racing event at Red Shores Summerside, originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, has been moved to Tuesday, June 25, at 4 PM, preceding the live racing program and featuring a complimentary BBQ on the tarmac.
