The New York Racing Association (NYRA) has successfully reached a new agreement with FanDuel TV, ensuring that pari-mutuel wagering on the Saratoga summer meet is once again available on FanDuel platforms. This agreement brings back the opportunity for FanDuel-TVG customers nationwide to place bets on NYRA races.
Tony Allevato, NYRA's chief revenue officer, expressed satisfaction with the resolution, emphasising that the deal aligns with their goals of supporting New York's horsemen and strengthening the state's Thoroughbred racing ecosystem. In line with this objective, NYRA will allocate significant funding to bolster these efforts.
As part of the new agreement, FanDuel TV will also make a substantial contribution to the NYRA Foundation. This contribution aims to enhance the foundation's impact on nonprofit organisations and service providers involved in backstretch services, Thoroughbred aftercare, and other related initiatives. The NYRA Foundation serves as a conduit for businesses and individuals to support various worthy causes connected to Thoroughbred racing in New York State.
Andrew Moore, general manager of racing at FanDuel Group, expressed enthusiasm about the multi-year agreement with NYRA, highlighting their longstanding 24-year wagering partnership. Moore looks forward to the upcoming Saratoga meet and continued collaboration, supporting the valuable work of the NYRA Foundation.
This renewed partnership not only reinstates wagering options for fans but also contributes to the welfare and sustainability of the Thoroughbred racing community in New York.
