Hill 'n' Dale's Violence celebrated a milestone by siring his 50th black-type winner on July 14 at Monmouth Park. His 3-year-old son, Apollo Ten, won the $100,000 My Frenchman Stakes, adding to his record of three wins from six starts. Bred in Kentucky, Apollo Ten is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Bay Storm and is raced by Cheyenne Stable, trained by Christophe Clement.
Violence's impressive year includes stakes winners like Milliken and Newgrange, along with 19 graded/group winners overall, including Eclipse champion Forte. Forte, who earned over $3 million, is Violence's top earner and entered stud this year at Spendthrift Farm.
Despite his success, Violence's stud fee was adjusted from $60,000 to $40,000 for 2024 to ensure he gets a full book of mares. Hill 'n' Dale reports that he continues to breed a full book annually, producing quality racehorses across different surfaces.
