Borth and Bucktober have once again made their mark
Bucktober (Flanagan Memory) triumphed in the Preferred-Handicap Trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday (20th March), securing his second victory in three recent starts.
Guided by regular driver and co-owner Tyler Borth, Bucktober initially trailed the pack of five horses, clocking a time of :28.3 for the first quarter and :58.3 for the half. Despite facing opposition from Insanity (Jason Ryan) in the latter half of the race, Bucktober managed to catch up with the top three contenders as they approached the three-quarter mark in 1:28.3.
In the stretch, Bucktober made a strong surge, overtaking all three leaders by moving to the outside, ultimately crossing the finish line in 1:59.4.
Johnny Buckshot (Scott Wray) finished second, while Dahlquist Hanover (Travis Henry), who set the initial pace, settled for third place.
